A brief statement about the history of Bound In Oblivion

Bound In Oblivion...is not about the past. It is about the world around us and a colliding future. It's about technology and how it embeds itself in us. It's about leaving the past behind, and embracing the changes of the world. A new reality that no generation before us has experienced. All this, no matter how numbing, cold or distressing it may be. It is about the human psyche, machines, the undeniable connection with primal desire, and the now. It is a method of exploring these realms.

Writing a bio. history about the band is difficult. It deserves a fresh start. Not one filled with associations, name dropping and pre-fab labels. Bound In Oblivion is an independent entity. It should be judged on its current incarnation. The body of its work.

There are stories, personal destructions, drug addictions, mistakes made, and poor choices that almost prevented the creation of this music. There are past bands, Shows and CDs releases spanning over the last 10 years. Some projects you may have heard of or may even currently own. With a little effort you may even find some connections. And yes, Bound In Oblivion is an "Industrial" music project.



We do not pretend to be original. We do not believe in universal love, or the Easter bunny.

What we do is out of love for the music, and the feelings that go with it. We want it to accurately reflect
what we as individuals feel. We look to what inspires us. We dig deep into ourselves and hold nothing back.

We have the resources we need. We do not intend to let nay-sayers and protagonist get in the way. Because try as they may to change or deny us, this is what we are. The noise and angst runs through our blood, and is what makes us who we are.

Bound In Oblivion is: Jonathan Case... and Z.Wager (Right to Left)

B.i.O. was created by Jonathan Case under the working name of AREA88 in 1995. After a long break was later joind by Z. Wager Both of them live in Portland Oregon.

The first official apperance of B.i.O. was on a CD comp. Released in Canada by a lable called "Seven by Two Records" 1999 It featured a track called: "Undone (Radio Edit)"
